Dr. Adel Bataweel, MBA, IRM  –  Certified CT31000 Trainer

Dr. Adel Bataweel is a consultant and chairman of risk management department at King Fahad Medical City. He acquired his PhD from the UK and worked in healthcare field since 1991. He moved to KFMC in 2005 where he led and introduced many technologies to help and improve the quality of life of disabled people. Risk and safety had always been the main concern when providing any technology in the healthcare in general and specifically to disabled people.

Dr. Bataweel has acquired knowledge of risk management through his experience in the rehabilitation field, Master of Business Administration (MBA) the international certificate for risk management from the institute of Risk Management (IRM, UK), certification in Enterprise risk management, certified in Health and Safety professional, certified practitioner in the Management of Risk (MoR®) and certified ISO31000 trainer by the Global Institute for Risk Management Standards – G31000.

Jacquetta Goy  –  Certified CT31000 Trainer

Jacquetta Goy joined TRU university in 2014 with the responsibility of establishing and developing enterprise risk management, and managing safety, security, insurance and emergency management. Prior to that she spent five years in a similar role at BCLC and 14 years in risk, governance and quality roles in the English health service.

Jacquetta is the chair of the BC ERM Post-Secondary Roundtable and was previously on the advisory committee of the Canadian Strategic Risk Council. She is a member of the Canadian Committee for Risk Management and Related Activities and is a Canadian representative to the International Committee TC262 responsible for revising ISO31000, the international risk management standard.

Ben Burger  –  Certified CT31000 Trainer

Ben is the Managing Member of ‘Pro Presentation cc’ and works an independent consultant, assisting organisations in the development of strategic direction in ‘Risk-based Integrated Management’ (RIM). Ben’s broad experience and his demonstrated analysis, development, project management, facilitation, communication and training skills have helped guiding many a client organisation to achieving significant results in improving their business management system performance.

He was a contributor to the book: ‘SHEQ Guide to Managing Risk’ (Germaine/Bird/Labuschagne). He holds tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and Total Quality Management and is currently studying towards an MSc in Management of Technology and Innovation. He is also a certified ISO 31000 lead trainer with both G31000 and the PECB.

Certification in ISO 31000

This course enables participants to become C31000 – certified ISO 31000 risk management professionals. The training and exam are based on the ISO 31000 risk management standard which can be used by organization of any size, any industry, and any sector.

In this intensive three-day course, participants develop competence in the foundations of the ISO 31000 risk management standard. Based on rigourous teaching, practical exercises and quiz questions that test their aptitude, participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to pass the stringent ISO 31000 exam.

They do so by becoming familiar with the vocabulary, principles, framework and the risk management process proposed in the ISO 31000 standard. During the course, we will present the ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines and its two companions, the ISO Guide 73:2009, and the IEC/ISO 31010:2009 Risk Assessment Techniques.
